Dictionary

Letter: A, a, B, b etc.
Consonant: other than A, e, i, o and u.
Vovel: A, e, i, o and u
Semi-vowels: W & y
Word: A group of letters
Sentence: Group of words
Parts of speech: Noun, pronoun etc.

4.1 Parts of Speech

=> Parts of Speech: All the English words have been divided into 8 groups according to the work, they do in a sentence. Those groups are called parts of speech.

They are:

Noun
Pronoun
Adjective
Verb
Adverb
Preposition
Conjunction
Interjection

=> Parts of speech are parts of a sentence.

e.g

1.Suraj is a good boy.

Parts of the sentence:

Suraj -> noun
is -> verb
a -> adjective
good -> adjective
boy -> noun

2. Hurray! I am going to school and I will get knowledge.

Parts of the sentence:

Hurray -> Interjection
I -> Pronoun
am -> verb
going -> verb
to -> preposition
school -> noun
and -> conjunction
I -> pronoun
will -> verb
get -> verb
knowledge -> noun
